This week, more than 30 new receivers have been integrated into the EMADDC 3.0 real-time processing chain. These additional receivers help close several of the temporary coverage gaps in Europe that arose because not all existing EMADDC R2.2 data streams have yet migrated to real-time transmission for EMADDC 3.0.
This is an important step in ensuring a smooth transition from EMADDC R2.2 to EMADDC 3.0 while maintaining high-quality observational coverage for our users.
The expansion is still ongoing. We expect additional receivers to be added in the coming weeks, further improving the coverage. Besides restoring coverage in existing areas, several of the newly integrated receivers also provide observations from regions that were not covered by EMADDC R2.2, resulting in an overall improvement of the geographical coverage.
The figure above shows the current EMADDC 3.0 coverage over Europe based on one day of observations from the latest processing statistics. The interactive version of this map is available in the daily processing statistics report.
